Bob Evans has been appointed president of Freudenberg North America LP and the group’s regional representative effective January 1, 2015. With this appointment, Evans also becomes the member of Freudenberg’s Global Executive Team (GET), representing the North American region. In his new position, Evans reports directly to the Freudenberg Board of Management.
As president of Freudenberg North America LP, Evans heads the regional corporate center, a team of functional specialists who provide services and guidance to all Freudenberg businesses with operations in North America. As the regional representative, he is responsible for representing the Freudenberg Group’s interests in the region while working on cross-divisional cooperation of all Freudenberg entities in the region. At the same time, Evans continues his current responsibilities as the group’s General Counsel for the region.
“Bob’s experience both before and during his tenure at Freudenberg has made him an ideal candidate for the new and expanded responsibilities. He is ideally suited to support Freudenberg’s strategic growth in the region,” says Tilman Krauch, member of the Freudenberg board of management.
Bob joined the Freudenberg Group in August 2003 as general counsel of Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies. In 2010, he became Freudenberg Group legal counsel for the Americas. Prior to Freudenberg, Bob worked in the legal departments of the Kimberly-Clark Corporation and NCR Corporation, and with the law firm of Ice Miller. Evans carries a Bachelor of Arts in Political Sciences from Purdue University and a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University.
In his new position, Bob succeeds Leesa Smith who was recently appointed to the position of CFO in the Americas for Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions, the Freudenberg Group’s consumer business.
